Interested in sponsoring one of our Junior Aquathlon/Triathlon events this year?
The events for juniors is organised by Celtic Tri one of the biggest triathlon clubs in Wales with over 300members registered in 2017 and this number expected to grow even bigger in 2018.
The Junior section of Celtic Tri will be organising two events in 2018,
Stephen Lewis Aquathlon Ystradgynlais (3rd event since 2016 and part of the Welsh Triathlon Junior Tristars Series)
Swansea Junior Triathlon (NEW event for 2018)
As you can imagine putting on any event requires a huge amount of work and we have relied heavily on sponsorships in the past just to reach a breakeven point.
There are no other Junior events in this area catering for youngsters of all abilities, with the nearest comparable ones staged in Llanelli to the west and Cardiff to the east.
With these being children’s events we try to keep the cost of entries down as low as possible, but the absolute lowest we are able to go is £10 per entry.
The list to put on a multisport event include:
- Pool and Leisure centre hire
- Bib numbers
- Chip timing
- Barrier hire
- Bike racking
- Swim caps
- Medical cover
- Race registration
- Race official costs
Our events will cost upwards of £2000 each as a minimum figure.
By comparison certain adult events in this area, with exactly the same costs, will typically be charging around £50 entry for shorter distance races, even more for middle and long distance races.
Sponsors are very hard to come by in the current economic climate and currently, at time of writing, we have no sponsors lined up for our two events this year.
We are asking for sponsorship to help cover the cost of some or all of the above.
In return we can have your company logos on printed t-shirts, bags, medals, trophies, etc, have banners displayed around the venue, be part of the presentation party when giving out the trophies.
Quite often we are showcased on the Welsh Triathlon website where children from Celtic Tri are used in publicity photographs. Events will also get coverage via our Facebook and twitter feeds as well as nationally via the Welsh Triathlon and British Triathlon websites and in many local media outlets such as South Wales Evening Post, Swansea Online and Wales Online.
We have an amazing group of talented junior athletes who are doing great things – we can arrange for you to come and see some of our sessions for yourself – and we would be delighted if you came on board to be associated with us.
