A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE TO OUR MEMBERS, PARENTS, FRIENDS, VOLUNTEERS, COACHES, AND SUPPORTERS …
2022 has seen us return to training, races, events and socialising again, and it has been a wonderful experience to be able to meet up with each other at races & events and share experiences. One of the biggest events locally, was the inaugural Ironman Swansea 70.3 race in July. It was fantastic to see Celtic Tri being the largest club in attendance and providing volunteers to support the event, with the best and loudest club feed station on the run.
This success is largely down to our membership, so a big thank you to our members, who make this club what it is …. THE BIGGEST, AND BEST CLUB IN WALES!
Celtic Tri, over the years, has earned a fantastic reputation of being a family club, and we continue to grow! Watching new juniors joining us, and then seeing them transition to youth and adult racing, further strengthens this reputation.
We provide inclusive opportunities for people to participate in this fantastic sport. Anyone, of any ability can take part, and with the right support, training, and most importantly the right people around them, they can accomplish anything.
To our coaches – enjoy the Christmas break! You have all most definitely earned it and we thank you all sincerely for the time that you give to the club; your energy and passion for triathlon and Celtic Tri is evident with the consistently delivered sessions, regardless of weather conditions – this does not go unnoticed!
Juniors, you continue to be amazing. You are some of the hardest working juniors on the triathlon circuit, and you should all be incredibly proud of your achievements this year. Thanks to Mark Edwards and Richard Clifford who continue to drive the junior section forward; keep up the great work both.
Also, a big thank you to all our parents, supporters, and sponsors. The club continues to grow and be successful because of your support, please may it continue into 2023 and beyond.
As we prepare for the festive season, we also recognise that this time of year, for many reasons, can also be difficult for people. The effects of recent years, on top of the current crises in the UK, are impacting us all, and we want you all to know that we are here for you if needed. If you are, or know of someone, who is struggling, please contact our welfare officer or any committee member. Never be afraid to reach out to us.

Finally, on behalf of everyone on the Celtic Tri committee, we hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year!
