I would like to introduce myself as the Club Welfare Officer. I gained a Diploma in Social Work in 2001, completed a Post Qualifying Award in Social Work in 2005, and an Advanced Award in Social Work in 2009. I have also undertaken further training in Disability and Equality. I have a senior managerial role in a leading child protection organisation and safeguarding is my specialism.

My role as Club Welfare Officer is to ensure that all children, young people and vulnerable adults, are able to enjoy triathlon in a fun and safe environment. I am the first point of contact should you have any concerns about our younger members, and will deal respectfully with any representations you wish to make.

Celtic Tri take all reasonable steps to protect children from harm and discrimination, and we always strive to respect the views, rights, wishes and feelings of our younger members. I work with the coaching team to ensure that our volunteers are satisfactorily checked by the Criminal Records Bureau and to ensure that our Child Protection Policy is understood and adhered to.
