Rack pack and start list will be emailed to all competitors two weeks before the race.

400m POOL SWIM, 22km ROAD BIKE and a 3km ROAD RUN.

This is the 13th year  Celtic Tri has run this event, and its always a great success. The event is aimed at novice level with a view to introducing newcomers to the sport but is not exclusively a novice event, and is a great course for seasoned pros to get a PB.

Swim:

400m pool swim at Vale of Neath leisure centre.

Bike route: 

The bike route is from Vale of Neath Leisure centre , down along the B4242 to the turn around point near to the Ynys y Gerwn cricket club, Aberdulais, Neath, and back along the same stretch of the undulating road. Your bicycle must be in roadworthy condition and a cycling helmet must be worn and secured at all times of the bike section as per BTA rules. This is a non drafting event.

Run route:

The run is from the car park at the pool, across the road and off along the reclaimed colliery land adjacent to the B4242. Race referees, Marshals and staff will be on hand to guide you through the event.

Entry to the race is £35.00 to all individual athletes and a British Triathlon race licence will need to be acquired on the morning of the race for those who do not have British Triathlon/Welsh Triathlon  Membership (this will need to be presented on race day), No relay teams allowed this year.

BTF/WTF MEMBERS WHO DO NOT PRODUCE THEIR BTF/WTF MEMBERSHIP CARD ON THE DAY WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE A £6 DAY MEMBERSHIP BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO RACE.

There is ample parking and facilities for competitors and easy to find just off the A465 at Glyn Neath.

Registration will open from 06.45 hrs, First swimmers off at 07.30 hrs.

It’s a great race to end the season!
